little black dress was held at Cicada in the gorgeous Oviatt Building. Once the home of the exclusive men's department store Alexander and Oviatt, the restaurant shined with its softly lit surroundings, gold leaf ceilings, Lalique glass and mirrored bar, showcasing the Oviatt tradition of downtown grandeur.
Built in 1928, the Oviatt Building was transformed after then clothing mogul, James Oviatt, made a trip to the Parisian Decorative Arts Exhibition in Paris where he fell in love with Art Deco design. Cicada and the Oviatt Building Penthouse are a favorite Academy Awards party destination.
