Liza Richardson
Liza Richardson's career spans the fields of radio, film and advertising. A radio and popular club DJ since 1987, she has been at KCRW, Southern California's flagship public radio station, for the past eleven years. Her film credits as a music supervisor include Alfonso Cuaron's Mexican hit Y Tu Mama Tambien and The Mothman Prophecies, her third project with director Mark Pellington. Liza recently hosted a Sundance Channel special that explores the relationship between music and film, called Sonic Cinema. Through her joint venture with the Santa Monica based sound design house, Stimmüng, she has provided commercial music supervision and found musical solutions for Motorola, Mitsubishi, Xterra, Nascar, Apple, Acura, Honda, Infiniti and Microsoft. Every Saturday night from 7 to 9pm on 89.9 KCRW she hosts The Drop, a popular radio show that features a distinct, sensual blend of up tempo, other-worldly dance music mixes.
